Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 1, 2026
Medical Training Solutions, Inc. (“MTS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this website and the related online training and competency assessment platform for clinical laboratory and point-of-care staff (collectively, the “Service”).
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you visit this website or use the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Terms used here have the same meanings as in our Subscription Agreement unless otherwise defined below.
Information We Collect
To provide and improve the Service, we collect the following categories of information:
- Account Information — name, work email address, job title, institution, and phone number provided when you or your administrator sets up your account.
- Usage Information — courses assigned, tests taken, scores, training completion records, and other activity within the Service.
- Communications — questions, feedback, and other information you send to us.
- Log Data — your browser type, IP address, pages visited within the Service, dates and times of visits, time spent on pages, and similar technical information automatically collected when you use the Service.
Cookies
The Service uses cookies — small data files stored on your device — to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and analyze how the Service is used. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when a cookie is being placed, but some parts of the Service may not function properly without them.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate users and prevent unauthorized access
- Communicate with you about your account, assignments, and Service updates
- Generate reports and analytics for your administrator (e.g., team training completion)
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing of Information
We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With your institution. Your administrator can see your training assignments, completion records, and test results for accounts under their subscription.
- With service providers — third parties we engage to host the Service, send transactional emails, process payments, or provide analytics. These providers are contractually bound to use your information only as needed to perform their work for MTS.
- For legal reasons — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MTS, our customers, or others.
- In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
MTS operates in compliance with FERPA. We do not store student transcripts, GPA data, or other personally identifiable academic records beyond first name, last name, and a unique username or email address. Test scores are confidential and are not shared by MTS outside the institution that administered the test.
Data Retention
We retain account and training records for as long as your institution maintains an active subscription, plus a reasonable period afterward for compliance, audit, and dispute-resolution purposes. You or your administrator may request deletion of personal information at any time by contacting us at support@medtraining.org.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opt out of certain uses of your information
- Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@medtraining.org. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.
Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
